This seminar was a week-long seminar in a retreat center outside the German city of Kiel. The seminar took place in an 18th century castle. The photo below is the front of the castle.
The seminar was led by a German theater director. It was a production of some scenes from Hamlet, and the focus of the theater work was to study the nature of revenge. The participants were Egyptian and Palestinian actors. The following week a group of Israelis went through the same program.
My role in the seminar was to teach body awareness and centering. Iused Aikido to help the actors gain a clear experience of how feelings of revenge weaken the muscles and posture, and how kindness strengthens the muscles and improves balance.
